We are excited to announce that Color Country Animal Welfare will be hosting low-cost veterinary clinics this year in partnership with Fremont River Veterinary Clinic to help increase access to essential veterinary care for families experiencing financial barriers.
This clinic is designed specifically for income-qualified households in our community who may not otherwise be able to access routine veterinary care.
Services offered will include:
Free wellness exams
$5 core vaccines for dogs and cats
Free deworming
Free microchipping
Additional support may be available for select medical needs, including minor illnesses or injuries, based on available funding and veterinary recommendations.
Examples may include:
  • Minor infections or wounds
  • Treatable gastrointestinal issues
  • Upper respiratory infections
  • Diagnostic support such as X-rays when appropriate
  • Dental care when needed to improve quality of life
This program is intended to support animals who have a good prognosis with treatment and is not designed to replace ongoing veterinary care for chronic conditions or major medical procedures.
Who qualifies?
Eligibility may include households experiencing financial hardship, including those who can provide documentation such as:
  • Recent pay stubs that demonstrate that the family falls within low-income household limits.
  • Proof of participation in assistance programs (SNAP, WIC, SSI, disability benefits, etc.)
We also understand that every situation is unique. Additional circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to us to discuss qualifying factors.
Documentation can be submitted into our secure client management system at the time of appointment request using this online form.
Our goal is to help families establish and maintain relationships with Fremont River Veterinary Clinic while ensuring that cost is not a barrier to basic preventive care. We are committed to expanding access to veterinary services in a way that supports our local veterinary partners and strengthens the health and wellbeing of pets throughout our community.
