Nonprofit Credential Award

Utah Nonprofits Association

“Congratulations to Color Country Animal Welfare (CCAW) on earning the UNA Credential Award! This achievement reflects CCAW’s deep commitment to organizational excellence and long-term sustainability. Through careful review, thoughtful revisions, and the creation of strong internal practices—from policies and procedures to bylaws—CCAW has strengthened its foundation across all areas of nonprofit management and set a clear path for future success.
This work is no small feat. It required reflection, revision, and a commitment to excellence that cuts across the entire organization. CCAW’s willingness to dig deep and do the hard work shows a clear dedication to long-term impact and the community they serve. Your leadership is an example to us all. Well done!”
– Jill Bennett – CEO, Utah Nonprofits Association

CCAW has been a long time member of UNA. Early on, CCAW committed itself to sending multiple employees and volunteers annually to attend UNA organizational training seminars in nine different organizational management areas with the goal of continuosly improving our organization by achieving a Credential Badge in each of these areas:
  • Fundraising and Development
  • Human Resources
  • Marketing and Communication
  • Volunteer Management
  •  Outcomes and Evaluations
  • Board Governance
  • Advocacy and Civic Engagement
  • Finance and Legal
  • Leadership and Organizational Culture
Achieving the Credential Badge in an area included two days of online classroom work plus completeing a set of documented exercises that demonstrate proficiency with the tools and practices in that area. CCAW folks completing the requirements have brought those tools and practices back to be implemented in the organizational operation.
After completing all of the Credential Badges, Utah Nonprofits Association granted CCAW the UNA Credential Award! Color Country Animal Welfare is proud to be one of a small number of Utah nonprofit organizations to currently hold this award! We thank Utah Nonprofits Association for its guidance and training for our organization!
