Our Facility – Fear Free

Our Animal Care Facility has been several years in the making and opens the summer of 2021. It sits on 12 beautiful acres in the redrock high desert in Torrey, Utah. The Facility serves as both a shelter for adoptable dogs and cats and as a boarding facility and daycare for tourists and residents needing a safe, temporary home-away-from-home for their pets.

We designed the facility with a “fear free” concept in mind, meaning the animal rooms replicate the calming, animal-centered features of a happy home, which gives boarded pets a cozy atmosphere and allows for a quicker acclimation of adoptable pets into a home environment.  The size of the kennels, natural light, climbing and hiding ability for cats, easy access to the outdoors for dogs are all part of making their environment “fear free”.  Our cat area is separated from the dog area and both cats and dogs have multiple rooms so no more than five animals share a room.

The facility contains kennels for up to 15 dogs (or dog groupings) and 12 cats. We accept only dogs and cats at this time.
