Community Cat Program

The Community Cat program utilizes volunteers who “oversee” colonies of cats that have been spayed or neutered.  A colony can be located in any area where the cats have access to food, water and shelter (barn cats make for good rodent control).  The caretakers allow these cats to live out their lives with basic care and dignity. Concentrating cats in communities and providing food minimizes the impact of the cats on the landscape.
