How We Can Help You
- Spay/neuter program and Trap/Neuter/Release program.
In our community cat program we feed local colonies daily and conduct up to two trap placements each month. We then transport the animals to a veterinarian (150 miles round trip) to be fixed and then return the animals to their community. In our spay/neuter program, we assist residents who request financial help to have their pet sterilized. We offer assistance on a case-by-case basis, determined by our available funds and the pet owner's financial situation.
- Temporary Shelter/Rescue Service.
We provide temporary housing for all abandoned cats and dogs. Until adoption is complete we feed them and pay for any necessary medical treatment.
- Adoption Resource.
CCAW provides information and solutions for homeless, abandoned or rescued pets to facilitate their adoption.
- Education in the Schools.
In the future we plan on creating information packets for all students in Wayne County's Elementary, Middle and High Schools to educate students on pet care, the importance of spaying and neutering, along with the kinds of financial help CCAW can provide.
